10 Months Later.....

Kitchen was completely finished in June; appliances installed July 3rd.  Took me about 1 week to put the kitchen back together and by then.....I.was.done.  Taking pictures was the last thing on my mind. So, here it is......

Back splash installation is scheduled for Monday.  It's been dragging on way too long with them.  I told them they need to be in and out by Wednesday and if need be, could start today and work on the weekend.  Appliances will be installed Thursday.

I know I have not been updating with photos.  Honestly, I've checked out of this process.  Tired of it.  Second-guessing every decision.  Sick of pizza.  Dust everywhere.  I love painter's tape, almost as I love sharpies, and even that is getting old.  I've been taking pictures throughout and telling myself I'll post them later.  Later has turned into 20 days.  So, thanks, Marlena, for pushing me!

The floor went in 2 weeks ago.  I'm getting used to it.  It's a big change from having honed and filled travertine and very tight grout lines, to grout everywhere and tripping over my feet with the new stone.

 Last Monday (5/21), the faucets went in.  No more walking down to the stream the hallway.

Templates/measurements are done for granite. Will be installed May 10th.  Should have brought the camera instead of taking pics with phone.  Hopefully, there is enough stone.  The templator said we are short for the split linen counter.  Talked to the fabricator and I think I offended him because he said, "he's been doing this for 20 years".  Everyone knew the sq ft needed and said two slabs would be enough.  The templator was really nice and I said, "come on, let's go back outside and make this work".  He did!  Now, every time the phone rings, I think it's Yoni calling, "we cracked your stone and we don't have enough"!

I forgot to take photos this weekend!  I don't know how to use the camera and adjust lighting; photos are not that good. 

Finishing touches are being made this week on kitchen and entertainment center.  I am going to North Hollywood Tuesday morning to meet the fabricator and go over template.  Granite should be installed next week.
