Kitchen Pictures Up!

I forgot to take photos this weekend!  I don't know how to use the camera and adjust lighting; photos are not that good. 

Finishing touches are being made this week on kitchen and entertainment center.  I am going to North Hollywood Tuesday morning to meet the fabricator and go over template.  Granite should be installed next week.

Kitchen cabinets installed Monday & Tuesday.  Said they would be done by Thursday.  Just not sure which Thursday of which week, or month, they are talking about...

except when the kitchen is to be delivered!  Waiting to see if they will be deliver; here's a peak at the built-ins in progress....

Rome Wasn't Built in a Day; Nor Are Built-Ins

Split linen - as soon as I saw the white outlet, I said, "you can unscrew that".  He said to buy wood plates, they'll stain them.

Delivery of built-ins was Wednesday; the "holes" in these rooms will finally be filled after 11 3/4 years!

I am hoping the office plant can disappear

...and this Walmart-special tv stand. I think this is the last piece of furniture we bought when we first got married. I lost count of the tv's it's been home to over the years. It hasn't been out in public view except for the last 2 months.  Had to do some switching around when this tv came into play. 
Wait - our bedroom set is actually just as old.  That needs to go to.  In the next 5 years.

Solid Walls Again!

Dry waller was here today patching holes from the electrician and he added drywall to areas the plumber removed when he moved the gas line.  The heater vent on ceiling was moved about 6" away from wall yesterday.  The new range hood needs room up there.  Ceiling was textured in that spot.  Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's dry.  We just had the ceiling painted in August; said he can blend the paint without having to repaint entire ceiling.  Sure.
