I could run with the title of this post, but I won't. I'll just include a picture of the "vent" and leave it at that.
Installation of phase I (4 built-ins) for Friday will be delayed now due to not deciding on a stain.

| Running the vent this way was the easiest way since joists were running the opposite direction. Going up through the 2nd story would have been more than double the expense, plus we would have had to pull a permit and deal with possible roof issues. |
